Why does Chompy ask for camera access?
Chompy uses the front camera to detect chewing during a meal session. Camera frames and face data stay on the device and are not stored or sent outside the device by Chompy.

Chompy uses the front camera to detect chewing during a meal session. Camera frames and face data stay on the device and are not stored or sent outside the device by Chompy.
Chompy for iOS is designed for devices with a front TrueDepth camera and ARKit face tracking. Some iPhone and iPad models without TrueDepth are not supported for the iOS sensor path.
Parents approve the YouTube video used during a meal session. Chompy stores only the approved video ID locally on the device.
Parent Mode includes a reset flow. Resetting Parent Mode erases the parent PIN and approved videos stored on the device, then asks for a new PIN before Parent Mode can be used again.
Yes. Diagnostics sharing is off by default and can be managed in app settings. Chompy does not send camera frames, face data, raw chewing measurements, PINs, or video information in diagnostics.
No. Chompy is a parent-supervised mealtime assistant. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.
